This Privacy Policy applies to the OlxBG Companion Chrome Extension ("the Extension") provided by OlxBG.

1. Information We Collect

The Extension is designed to seamlessly integrate with your existing OlxBG account. To function correctly, it accesses the following:

• Authentication Cookies: The Extension accesses your existing session cookie for olxbg.in to securely fetch your timetable, mess menu, and marketplace updates without requiring a separate login.
• Local Storage: The Extension saves your display preferences (e.g., whether to show a popup, floating icon, or inject on Google) locally on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

The data accessed by the Extension is used strictly to provide the core functionality of the widget. Your timetable, notifications, and menu information are fetched directly from our official server (olxbg.in) and displayed solely to you.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share any of your personal data or browsing activity with third parties. Specifically, we affirm that we do not transfer, use, or sell your data for personalized advertising, to data brokers, or for lending/credit assessments.

All data transmission occurs exclusively between the Extension and the official OlxBG servers via secure modern cryptography (HTTPS).

4. Permissions Used

The Extension requests the following browser permissions to function:

• cookies: Used strictly to authenticate your requests with the OlxBG server.
• storage: Used to save your UI preferences locally on your device.
• activeTab & scripting: Used to inject the floating widget onto webpages when enabled, and to apply crucial layout fixes to the InfyLearn college portal.
• Host Permissions: Required to communicate with the OlxBG API (*://*.olxbg.in/*), apply UI fixes on the InfyLearn portal (*://*.infylearn.com/*), and display the widget on the Google homepage (*://*.google.com/*).

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Data stored in your browser's local storage (such as display preferences) is retained only on your device and remains until you clear your browser data or uninstall the extension. You may revoke access or delete all extension data at any time simply by uninstalling the OlxBG Companion from your browser.

6. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure

The OlxBG Companion extension complies fully with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies. The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
